Two names synonymous with top quality, cutting edge electronic sounds and massive ecstatic crowds, this year Carl Cox and Space celebrate their fifth anniversary together on Tuesday nights in Ibiza.

Renowned for the challenging and eclectic set of guest DJs, Carl Cox @ Space 2006 will be no exception, with an even broader musical spectrum including Adam Freelands rock-infused breakbeat and the Asian underground sounds of Talvin Singh. Carl will be airing more summery styles on the terrace by day before taking to the main room after dark for some deep electronic House and Techno. On the new terrace, fresh sounds will play into the night, incorporating house, electro, techno, breaks, drum and bass and more.
Last year Carl introduced Late Night Sessions where drum and bass veterans Roni Size and LTJ Bukem cooked up a storm. Despite Ibiza being known for its house-centric scene, Carls potentially risky choice of cutting edge drum and bass proved massively popular, hence the return of both names for 2006, alongside Brazilian boy wonder DJ Marky. On being asked what he was looking forward to, Marky said, It will be a good chance to catch up with some old friends and make some new ones as well. Whether an old friend or a potential new one, with a line up like Carls, no one will be left out.
In 2005 Space opened its newly restyled terrace to a great response. Due to the extended opening hours of the roofed terrace (no sound restrictions) Carl Cox @ Space was transformed, enabling a greater diversity of DJs and sounds to be spread across the two.
Following Carls first season at Space in 2002, each summer has seen the parties recognised as some of the most interesting and exciting the island has to offer, not least for the adventurous, forward-thinking line-up on offer. Due to Carls highly involved and passionate role as promoter, programmer and host, each year has seen a growth and progression from the last - continued improvements to production, sound, lighting and the variety of guests has seen the nights go from strength to strength.
