¿Dónde fue producido el álbum (diferentes emplazamientos, nombre del estudio, equipo, software…) y si contaste con colaboradores para la ocasión?
El álbum fue grabado en su totalidad en BlackHead Studios de Berlín, en realidad mi estudio personal donde se masterizan y se mezclan las referencias de Moodmusic. Llevo por delante este estudio desde 2005 y hay un muy buen ambiente y muchos de nosotros gastamos un sonido bastante gordo. Uso sobretodo sonidos externos y muchos procesadores analógicos lo que hizo que el trabajo fuera muy divertido. No hubo estrés de ningún tipo y además tampoco me marqué una fecha para finalizar el disco.

¿Por qué decides publicar justo ahora este disco que presentas?
Bueno, lo he producido para mi sello, como te decía sin presiones externas, sin grandes planes. Espero que el álbum suene fresco incluso con ese aroma de vieja escuela que desprende.

¿Hay algún concepto concreto detrás del álbum?
Si y no. Lo hubiera sido si pudiera haber improvisado como una banda siendo yo el único miembro del grupo. Por otro lado lo que quería era mantener la música tan abierta como fuera posible.

¿Quien (o qué) crees que te ha influenciado en este álbum?
Esa es una pregunta difícil de responder. He intentado no dejarme influenciar por otros productores y creo que musicalmente lo he conseguido. Por supuesto que tengo productores favoritos a los que me gusta escuchar, pero una vez entro en el estudio intento reducir al mínimo todas esas influencias. Ya hay demasiada gente copiando a otra gente a partir de lo que se vende en los charts de Beatport. Por otro lado, berlín siempre me inspira. Sigue siendo una ciudad tan viva como cuando me mudé aquí hace diez años.

¿Qué planes tienes en el futuro justo después de que salga el álbum a la calle?
De momento este año estoy bastante ocupado con los viajes y los bolos y creo que podré descansar unas semanas durante el verano. Volveré al estudio en agosto para volver a girar y hacer lo que siempre he hecho: vivir y amar la música.

¿Where was the album produced (studio, tools, etc) and when was the album produced (same location or diferent locations, any collaborators)?
This album was entirely recorded and mixed at BlackHead Studios in Berlin which is my personal studio where all Moodmusic Releases are either mixed or mastered. I´ve been running the studio since 2005 and we have a very nice atmosphere and most of all a fat sound. I used mostly outboard and lots of analog processing on this album which was good fun. I had no stress or deadline to finish the album - I tried to keep everything jam based with lots of experimenting and just basically having fun while making music, so I hope you can hear it while listening.

¿Why did you decide to publish the album now?
Well, doing it on my own label and having no external stress to release it just felt good and finished so there was no big plan. I hope the album will sound fresh even if there is enough of old school flavour.

¿Any concrete concept behind the album?
Yes and no. Yes as it was all just jamming, like a band but I was the only band member ;) On the other side I wanted to keep the music as open minded as possible.

¿Who do you think influenced you most when producing the album?
A very hard question as I try to not get too influenced by others, musically that is. I have of course favorite producers and musicians which I really like to listen to as a dj, but when I hit the studio I try to keep that side of me to a minimum - there is enough of people releasing music which is just a copy of the last Beatport chart stormers LOL. On the other side, Berlin always inspires me as a city, it´s still as vivid and living as it was 10 years ago when I moved here. 

¿What are your plans for the future (in terms of producing / gigs)?
The year has been very busy with travelling and gigs til now and I hope I can have a few weeks off in the summertime, then hit the studio again in August and keep touring and do what I always do - living the music I love.
